Jim Renwick

Jim Renwick is the Non-Executive Chair of Aqua Africa’s Board of Directors. He is a Senior Managing Director of Evercore’s Equity Capital Markets advisory business. He joined Evercore in February 2016 and has established a dedicated EMEA ECM Advisory Team of six bankers supporting the Industry teams.

At Evercore, the team has been an advisor to a number of companies including ConvaTec, the largest IPO in the UK in 2016, raising £1.6 billion of new equity, Melrose on its £1.65 billion rights issue to fund the company’s acquisition of Nortek, Sabre Insurance on its £316 million IPO, Hurricane Energy on its £530 million combined equity and convertible bond transaction, Nexi, on its IPO on the Milan Stock Exchange, raising €2.3 billion, and Network International on its IPO in the UK, raising £1.3 billion, including a $300 million cornerstone investment from Mastercard.

Jim has worked in Equity Capital Markets and Corporate Broking in London for 31 years and has worked for companies in Europe, Asia, Australia and South Africa, advising on large privatisations, IPOs, major equity financings, and mergers and acquisitions. He began his career with Ernst & Young in Australia, followed by Citicorp Scrimgeour Vickers, UBS, Bridgewell Securities, and Barclays Bank.
